In Loving Memory of Sister Margaret Mary, OCD

In loving memory of
 Sister Margaret Mary
of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary, OCD
We, your Carmelite Nuns of Jackson, humbly invite you to join us from January to February in offering  prayers for the repose of her soul.

"Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord.
And let perpetual light shine upon her.
May she rest in peace.  Amen .

May her soul and the souls of all the faithful departed
through the mercy of  God, rest in peace.  Amen.”

Remembering Sister Margaret

...We owe her a great deal for all she has done for our Association and Carmel in general. She will be sorely missed. But we trust she will be of greater help from the Eternal realms. Sioux Carmel

...We have many memories of Sr. Margaret Mary and we ask the Lord to reward her for her generous service to the Order and to our Association.                               New Caney Carmel

...Sr. Margaret gave so much of herself to Carmel. Her reward is great as she gazes on the Face of God.       Beacon Carmel

...No doubt she is with our Lord and interceding for you and  all the needs of your community. We join you in prayer for her. God be with you and may Our Lady accompany you at this  time of your loss.”                                              Boston Carmel

…St. Teresa of Avila said, “The experience of friendship is one of our great sources of strength and joy.” Through Margaret Mary, I’ve had great strength and joy in my life.         Mary Ann Parks

…Margaret Mary’s presence is still and always will be with us because of her generosity, goodness and kindness which she has extended to everyone and everywhere.    Sr. Dona, OCD

...As her brother, when I think of Margie, I think of our family.  Every success we had is always related to  our two sisters in the Carmelite convent praying for us.        John Flynn

We will all miss Sr. Margaret Mary. She was truly loved in this community, her gentle ways, her kindness, sincerity, and integrity. Many have told me of her care for others, her acceptance of all that life offered, her dedication to you her sisters, her courage and genuineness.      Fr. Kevin Slattery

...I thank God for bringing me to Mississippi of knowing and  living with a saintly nun. She is very brilliant yet humble, prayerful and dutiful even in her old age. Million thanks dear Mother Margaret.                        Sr. Cecile, Ozamis Carmel

…I learned so much from Mo. Margaret. Her virtues are edifying especially that of obedience, simplicity, humility and her admirable discretion in handling difficult situations. She is witty and sensible and always ready to say “I’m sorry.” Although not perfect, she has been an exemplary dear sister to me who has left a mark in my heart that would help me in my journey as a Carmelite. She is an inspiration.             Sr. Lourdes John Therese, Ozamis Camel

…When asked how she felt about her failing health, quite calmly and with definite mental clarity she said “Whatever God wills, that is what I want.” Isn’t that beautiful?                     Dorothy Ashley, OCDS

…Her love, mercy and compassion extended to all who worked for the monastery. She was always thoughtful of everyone's feelings and individual care. Even double checking each day that everyone was given a lunch.                                   Staff of Jackson Carmel
